PAUL SMITHS, NY (10/07/2016)(readMedia)-- Saturday, Oct. 8 – Topo-Shift 3: Woods Way Artist Reception
Join us at 7 p.m. for an artist reception with Winn Rea. Her process-based art addresses environmental themes in sculpture, video installation and works on paper. In this series of three-dimensional topographic contour reliefs with painted natural forms found in cast shadows, the artist explores "the perceptual shift experienced while moving through the woods." Her work is currently on display and will remain until Tuesday, Nov. 15.
Sunday, Oct. 30 – Second Annual Haunted Halloween
Take a haunted walk down our dark spooky trails! We'll have delicious Halloween treats inside the building, along with games, pumpkin painting and more. Stick around for a showing of the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" at 9 p.m. $5/person for the walk, $8 for movie admission. Paul Smith's students and employees will be admitted free with ID. Haunted Walk recommended for ages 16 and up. Walks start at 6:30 p.m. and take place every 15 minutes. The last walk starts at 8:30 p.m.
Saturdays – Naturalist Programs
Join Paul Smith's Environmental Education students from 10-11 a.m. each Saturday in October and learn about the birds, bogs, birch trees and wetland ecology at the VIC. Free.
