Update: Nazareth College Theatre and Dance Department's 5 p.m. Aug. 30 Page-to-Stage sold out; 7:30 show added

ROCHESTER, NY (08/25/2015)(readMedia)-- Nazareth College acting, musical theatre, and theatre arts students enrolled in the Theatre and Dance Department's Page to Stage courses will kick off their 2015-2016 academic year by creating two productions in just one week!

The week will end with performances that are free and open to the public. NOTE: due to limited seating pre-registration is required for Titanic by Friday, August 28, at 5 p.m. Call 585-389-2170.

Nazareth B.F.A. acting and B.A. theatre arts students will present two Kurt Vonnegut stories-2BR02B and The Big Trip Up Yonder-under the direction of David Henderson, artistic director of Method Machine Performance and Art. 2BR02B is a satiric short story that imagines life and death in a future world where population control is mandated and administered by the government. The Big Trip Up Yonder explores what would happen to the state of human affairs if death were eliminated from the equation.

Nazareth B.F.A. musical theatre students will present a concert performance of the popular musical, Titanic, under the direction of Bill Daugherty, acting instructor at CAP21 Studios in New York City, and the music direction of Corinne Aquilina, director of Nazareth College's musical theatre program.
