Updated: Long-Time "Lottery Buddies" Cash in with $14 Million Mega Millions Prize

JAMAICA, NY (10/04/2012)(readMedia)-- New York Lottery's Yolanda Vega will present prize checks worth a collective $19 million to a bevy of recent downstate winners. The biggest winners of the day - two long-time friends from Manhattan and Morganville, NJ - will receive over-sized checks totaling $14 million from the Mega Millions drawing held on September 18. Other winners include:

• Twelve co-workers from a Manhattan-based financial services company who split a $1 million Powerball second prize from the drawing held on August 1;
• A mail house supervisor from Hicksville who won $1 million from the Sweet Million drawing held on August 23;
• A Greek chef from Astoria who won a $1 million Powerball second prize from the drawing held on September 12;
• A deli owner from Plainview who won a $1 million top prize on the $1,000,000 Payday scratch-off and;
• A freight company employee from Lindenhurst who won a $1 million top prize on the Ruby Red X12 scratch-off game.
