ANNVILLE, PA (10/29/2014)(readMedia)-- Lebanon Valley College's Vale Music Group will host its 10th annual Vale Music Industry Conference on Saturday, Nov. 22, with panels and discussions featuring LVC alumni and music industry experts in an all-day conference in the College's Blair Music Center.

The yearly Vale Music Industry Conference is created and hosted by students of Lebanon Valley College and traditionally takes place the Saturday before Thanksgiving. This milestone conference will be unlike any previous conference. To mark the 10th anniversary, Vale is bringing LVC alumni back to Annville from all over the world to talk about their experiences in the music industry. It will be a homecoming for former students who have found success, bring them all to one place, and allow attendees to learn from their shared knowledge. This conference simultaneously provides an avenue for students to learn about the music industry while also benefiting the community by offering a full day of panels with industry experts.

Professionals from all segments of the entertainment industry descend upon Annville to participate in the conference. This year's conference will cover the game industry, studio recording, social networking, music publishing, and other music industry topics. In past years, notable speakers have included Shelly Yakus (engineer for John Lennon, Tom Petty, U2, among others), Anthony DeCurtis (Rolling Stone Magazine and author), Harry Dean aka DJQ-Ball (The Bloodhound Gang), Jeremy Hummel (co-founder of Breaking Benjamin), Nan Warshaw (CEO of Bloodshot Records), Martin Atkins (drummer/author Sex Pistols, Nine-inch Nails), and many more.

Each fall semester, LVC students work together to plan the music industry conference. Every aspect of this major event is planned by the students including inviting music industry professionals to speak on panels and host presentations, creating and updating the website (www.lvc.edu/vale), figuring out logistics and financials, and event marketing. The Vale Music Industry Conference is a student led initiative, along with Vale Records, Vale Publishing, and Vale Booking.

Admission is free for those who pre-register by Nov. 19 at http://www.lvc.edu/vale/register.html. Lunch is included for all attendees. For more information or to pre-register for the Vale Music Industry Conference, please visit www.lvc.edu/vale.
