Valerie Pensa of Hoboken, N.J. receives recent Alumni Achievement Award at Quinnipiac University

HAMDEN, CT (02/18/2010)(readMedia)-- Valerie Pensa, of Hoboken, N.J., received the Recent Alumni Achievement Award at Quinnipiac University's Winter Homecoming celebration on Feb. 6.
The Recent Alumni Achievement Award is presented to alumni that have graduated within the past 10 years and who have made outstanding contributions to their profession and/or community since graduation, role-modeled the university's commitment to excellence to fellow alumni through the alumni association, encouraged fellow graduates to stay connected with the university and displayed dedication to university through meaning philanthropy to Quinnipiac.
Pensa is the marketing director at A&M/Octone Records where she works directly with the musical groups Maroon 5 and Flyleaf and on the campaigns of various other rising artists. She recently orchestrated a global licensing/sponsorship/touring partnership with hip-hop artist K'NAAN and Coca-Cola for an international music campaign.
She received her bachelor's degree in communications from Quinnipiac in 2004. In 2009, Pensa was named to Billboard's prestigious "Top 30 Under 30" list.
