Victoria Whooper Receives Performing Arts Award

RIVER FOREST, IL (05/13/2011)(readMedia)-- Victoria Whooper, a resident of Bellwood, has received the Sr. Gregory Duffy Performing Arts Award from Dominican University. A recent graduate of Dominican University, Whooper received the award during the university's honors convocation on Sunday, May 1.

During her time at Dominican, Whooper served as the assistant stage manager for Into the Woods, as well as stage manager for The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!) and The Wiz. She also performed in Macbeth and She Stoops to Conquer.

Founded in 1901, Dominican University is a comprehensive, coeducational Catholic institution offering bachelor's degrees through the Rosary College of Arts and Sciences and master's degrees through the Graduate School of Library and Information Science, the Brennan School of Business, the School of Education, and the Graduate School of Social Work.
