Victory Christian Church Hosts Anti-Gun Violence Winter SlamJam

Monday, Feb. 21, Washington Avenue Armory 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.

ALBANY, NY (02/18/2011)(readMedia)-- Victory Christian Church will host its largest inside event of the year, with over 20 community organizations on hand; including resources for adults and children. The entire event is free and open to the public. There will be free food, games, a 30-foot monster slide and interactive games as well as entertainment.

During the course of the day, we will be unveiling the new anti-bully campaign and also unveiling the new Big Squeeze smoothie truck for City kids, as well as the segway community policing program. The event will include giveaways every hour and we are pleased to have Seth Franco, formally of the Harlem Globetrotters, perform for the kids.

Pastor Charlie Muller and the Enough: Gun Buy-back Program, with District Attorney David Soares, Mayor Jerry Jennings, the Albany Police Department, Albany Park and Recreation, and Cook Barret, will bring the city together to help fight violence.
