Victory Christian Church to Hold Events in Connection with National Make a Difference Day, Sat. Oct. 24th
ALBANY, NY (10/21/2009)(readMedia)-- On Saturday, October 24th from 9:00AM to 6:00PM, in connection with National Make a Difference Day, Pastor Charlie Muller and Victory Christian Church will hold several events:
- 2,000 flyers addressing the cease-fire initiative will be distributed throughout the city by volunteers.
- Volunteers will help clean up and work on a new foster care home for children at 590 Clinton Avenue, Albany.
- Volunteers will also work on a new dream center at 25 Warren Street, Albany.
A gun and illegal weapon collection will be going on. As a highlight of the flyers being handed out, people will have an opportunity to turn in any dangerous weapon from 9:00AM to 6:00PM at 118 Quail Street, Albany.
Everyone can join us to make a difference this Saturday. All volunteers will be meeting at 8:00AM at the J.C. Club, located at 63 Quail Street, Albany.
NOTE: This Albany weapon buy-back program will only run one Saturday every calendar quarter, this being the first, so you are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to get rid of any dangerous weapons you may have.
