PADUCAH, KY (05/25/2018) West Kentucky Community and Technical College was named the Visionary Business of the Year by the Mayfield/Graves County Chamber of Commerce during its annual dinner May 24.

Accepting the award, Dr. Anton Reece, president of the college, said he was deeply humbled and encouraged that partners like Mayfield and Graves County found WKCTC deserving of the award. "We are just incredibly thankful," he said, adding that the college will continue striving to meet the area's economic development and educational needs. The second largest amount of WKCTC students reside in Graves County, Reece said.

WKCTC also has two off-campus locations in Graves at the Purchase Area Training Center near Mayfield and at the Skilled Craft Training Center in the Hickory Industrial Park. In 2017, the Kentucky FAME program found its home in the Skilled Craft Training Center and recently graduated its first class with degrees in advanced manufacturing.
