WKCTC Offering CDL Training Class Beginning September 18

PADUCAH, KY (09/09/2017) West Kentucky Community and Technical College is offering a four-week driver's license (CDL) training class beginning September 18.

The training will be held from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday for four weeks at the Purchase Area Training Center, 235 Industrial Drive in Mayfield.

The 160-hour training includes CDL learner's permit and Class A endorsement preparation, training in classroom and range and road instruction. Students will learn Department of Transportation (DOT) rules, regulations and log book instruction. The Class A road test is administered by Kentucky State Police upon class completion.

Students must be able to read, write and speak English; be at least 18 years old for intrastate license or 21 years old for interstate license; meet DOT physical requirements; pass a DOT drug test; and have a valid Kentucky driver's license.

The cost of the four-week training is $3,995. Cost includes instruction, CDL permit and license fees, DOT physical and drug test.
