Wallingford resident attending Quinnipiac University named Connecticut SEARCH scholar

HAMDEN, CT (05/09/2012)(readMedia)-- Quinnipiac University student Stephanie Lenihan, of Wallingford, has been named a Connecticut Student/Resident Experiences And Rotations in Community Health (SEARCH) scholar.  Lenihan is a physician assistant student in the School of Health Sciences.

SEARCH is designed to encourage students studying to become dentists, doctors, nurses and physician assistants to accept jobs in primary care and community health care settings where they will care for underserved patients. The program is made possible by a three-year federally funded grant. 

Quinnipiac is a private, coeducational, nonsectarian institution located 90 minutes north of New York City and two hours from Boston.
