Waltham resident takes center stage at Curry College

MILTON , MA (10/28/2011)(readMedia)-- Curry College is pleased to announce that Wrentham resident, Mark Alexander, son of Bill and Dorothy Alexander, will be directing a scene in John Cariani's magical love comedy, Almost Maine. Mark is a 2008 graduate of King Phillip Regional High School. Currently a senior majoring in Communication, he has been seen on the Curry Theatre Stages in Romeo and Juliet, Peanute Galleria, Death of a Salesman, All in the Timing and Bat Boy. He has also written a successful one act, titled Death Bed. Mark has served as Curry Theatre's Production Manager, General Manager, Black Box Manager and currently serves as this semester's Assistant General Manager.
Almost, Maine is a collection of nine surreal moments, all taking place under the Northern Lights in a town in Maine, so small, that it can only be called "Almost, Maine." This delightful comedy comes to the Curry stage November 19-21, 7:30pm, in the Oscar B. and Frances A. Keith Auditorium at the Academic and Performance Center on the Milton Campus, 1071 Blue Hill Avenue, Milton, MA. Tickets are $10 and may be reserved at 617-333-2259 (Option 2).
Curry College is a 132-year old, private, four-year, liberal arts institution located on 135 acres in Milton, MA. Curry extends its educational programs to a continuing education branch campus in Plymouth. Curry offers 20 undergraduate degrees as well as graduate degrees in business, education, criminal justice and nursing, with a combined enrollment of approximately 4,150 students. The student body consists of approximately 2,000 traditional undergraduate students, 1,650 continuing education and 500 graduate students. Curry College students come from 31 states and 7 countries.
