Warrensburg native Luke Butts named a First Team All-Midwest Conference Performer

Butts leads the Lake Forest football team with 68 tackles.

LAKE FOREST, IL (11/17/2011)(readMedia)-- Luke Butts (Warrensburg, Ill./Warrensburg), a senior safety on the Lake Forest College football team, was named a first team all-Midwest Conference performer on Wednesday.

Butts leads Lake Forest with 68 tackles and ranks 10th in the MWC with 7.6 stops per game. He also has four tackles for loss, two interceptions, and four pass breakups. His 317 career tackles rank fourth in program history.

The Foresters are currently 3-6 and will finish their season at Concordia University Chicago Saturday at 11:30 a.m. It will be a continuiation of a game that began on September 3 but was postponed in the second quarter due to lightning.
