Washington and Lee's Kahena Y. Joubert Named VFIC/Altria Scholar

LEXINGTON, VA (04/03/2012)(readMedia)-- Kahena Y. Joubert of Framingham, Mass., a junior at Washington and Lee University, has received the VFIC/Altria Leadership Scholarship. The scholarships are administered by the Virginia Foundation of Independent Colleges (VFIC) and are made possible by charitable donations from Altria.

Joubert was nominated by Dr. Kenneth P. Ruscio, president of Washington and Lee University. Demonstration of leadership potential; and career, work, and life skills; a declared major; and a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average are among the criteria required for selection.

She is a double major in business administration and politics at W&L and a graduate of Armand Hammer United World College in Montezuma, N.M.
