Waterford Student Samantha Tatu to Sing National Anthem Before CNN Republican Debate
MANCHESTER, NH (06/13/2011)(readMedia)-- Samantha Tatu, of Waterford, Michigan, will sing the national anthem before the Republican presidential debate to be televised nationally by CNN today at 8 p.m.
Tatu is a senior natural science major at Saint Anselm College, in Manchester, N.H., where she plays defense on the Hawks hockey team. The debate is being held at Saint Anselm, in the arena where the Hawks' home ice is located during the hockey season. Tatu's performance will be part of the pre-debate program and will not be televised.
Saint Anselm College is a Catholic, Benedictine liberal artys college with 2,000 undergraduates located on a 400-acre campus just outside Manchester. The college has more than 60 academic offerings, including pre-professional programs.
