Wellington Resident Named Ashland University's Valedictorian

ASHLAND, OH (05/14/2012)(readMedia)-- Wellington resident Ashley E. Harrison was named Ashland University's valedictorian during the Spring 2012 commencement exercises on May 5.

Harrison graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science degree with majors in commercial art and marketing with a minor in creative writing. Her studies have included both a year of courses at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and an internship developing promotional materials and marketing plans for a local business in Wellington.

A 2007 graduate of Wellington High School, Harrison is the daughter of Rodney and Beth Harrison of Wellington.

After getting married in June, Harrison intends to work as a marketing coordinator and sales consultant at Harrison Ford Inc. in Wellington. She also intends to do freelance commercial and illustration work on the side and graduate school is in her plans for the future.
