Wendy Ramirez of Riverdale Awarded Roberts Family Financial Aid Endowment Scholarship

ST. MARY'S CITY, MD (01/06/2014)(readMedia)--  Wendy Ramirez, a Riverdale, Md., native and sophomore at St. Mary's College of Maryland, was recently awarded the Roberts Family Financial Aid Endowment.

At St. Mary's College of Maryland, Ramirez is studying psychology and education. She hopes to pursue a career in early childhood special education.

Outside of the classroom, Ramirez is passionate about "helping everyone in whichever way possible." She especially enjoys teaching and working with students with special needs.

St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
