West Union Farm Takes Top Honors in Iowa State Fair Oxford Down Show

DES MOINES, IA (09/02/2011)(readMedia)-- Double O Acres of West Union took top honors in the Oxford Down Sheep Show, judged Sunday at the 2011 Iowa State Fair.

The farm exhibited both the Champion and Reserve Champion Rams, the Reserve Champion Ewe and placed first in the Premier Exhibitor contest.

Rocky Hill Farm of Elizabeth, Ill. showed the Champion Ewe and took second place in the Premier Exhibitor contest. Lobdell Oxfords of Freeport, Ill. placed third in the Premier Exhibitor contest.

The Premier Exhibitor award is presented to the exhibitor earning the highest point total in individual classes of competition.
