Wheaton College (Ill.) Emma Westwick named the CCIW Women's Tennis Player of the Week

Wheaton senior Emma Westwick has been named this week's College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Tennis Player of the Week by the conference office.

Westwick earned a singles win and was victorious in doubles play as Wheaton earned a 9-0 victory against Kalamazoo last Saturday. Westwick defeaed Kalamazoo's Laura Hanselman 6-1, 7-5 on Saturday in their match at No. 1 singles. Westwick and doubles partner Bethany Hoogerheide defeated Kalamazoo's Elle Knight and Maya Srkalovic 8-7 (8-6) at the No. 3 doubles.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
