Wheaton College (Ill.) Favor Ezewuzie named CCIW Track Athlete of the Week

Favor Ezewuzie was named as a CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week by the conference office.

Ezewuzie, a junior, won two events at the WashU Mini Meet on Saturday. She took first in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.42-seconds, which currently ranks first on the NCAA Division III national list. Ezewuzie also won the long jump with a distance of 5.54 meters (18-2 1/4), which ranks sixth nationally. She finished second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.20-seconds, which also ranks sixth in Division III this season.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
