Wheaton College (Ill.) Hannah Roeske named CCIW Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week

Wheaton sophomore Hannah Roeske was named CCIW Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week by the conference office.

Roeske broke her own school record in the mile run at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet on Friday in Allendale, Michigan. Her time of 4:52.35 currently ranks third on the NCAA Division III national list compiled by TFRRS.org. Roeske's time also ranks first in the CCIW and is more than 17 seconds faster than the second-place time in the conference.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
