Wheaton College (Ill.) Jaxon Hulse picks up CCIW Defensive Player of the Week recognition in men's soccer

Thunder junior Jaxon Hulse has been named this week's College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week by the conference office.

Hulse played well in the back for Wheaton over its last three matches, helping the Thunder to a pair of shutout wins. Hulse and the Thunder defense shutout No. 18 Luther, 1-0 last Saturday in Decorah, Iowa. On Monday night, the Thunder returned home on Tuesday to shut out Aurora 3-0 as the Spartans scattered five shots in the first half and six in the second half to give the Wheaton defense its second-consecutive shutout. Hulse and the Wheaton defense has recorded four shutouts in six matches this season.
