Wheaton College (Ill.) Luke Peters picks up Second Team All-CCIW recognition in men's basketball

Peters picked up Second Team All-CCIW recognition for the second time in his career, also earning the recognition as a sophomore in 2016-17.

He is averaging 8.6 points per game this year, with a team-high 4.32 assists per game and 5.9 rebounds per game. In CCIW play, the senior averaged 8.1 points and was ninth in the conference in rebounds during conference play with an average of 5.8 boards per game. In league action he averaged 4.4 assists per game, ranking third in the CCIW in assists per game. An outstanding defensive player, Peters was often called upon to guard the the top offensive players in the CCIW and in several cases this season, Division III.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
