Wheaton College (Ill.) Marin Halvorsen becomes second Wheaton player in program history to win CCIW Championship in women's golf

Marin Halvorsen became just the second Wheaton player to claim an individual CCIW Championship.

Halvorsen held off the field with a final round score of 77 to add four shots to her lead and finish with a six-shot lead over the field. Following a second round 87, Halvorsen took advantage of less windy conditions to post the lowest round in the field and the third-lowest round of the tournament, including her first round of 72. Halvorsen finished with a three-day score of 236 to finish 20 strokes over par and six strokes ahead of Rylie Loux of Illinois Wesleyan and Madi McCoy of Carthage, who tied for second at 242.
