Wheaton College (Ill.) Natasha Brown named the CCIW Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week

Wheaton senior Natasha Brown has been selected as a CCIW Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office.

Brown won the 200-meter dash at the Benedictine Relays on Saturday. She ran a personal best of 24.95-seconds, which currently ranks second among all CCIW competitors in the events and ninth amont all NCAA Division III competitors. She also placed third at Benedictine in the 100-meter dash 12.58-seconds and ran a key leg of the second place 4x100-meter relay team that posted a time of 47.41-seconds, which is currently ranked first in the CCIW and fifth nationally.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
