Wheaton College (Ill.) Sarah Tomich named 2018 First Team All-American by United Soccer Coaches

Wheaton College sophomore Sarah Tomich has been named a 2018 First Team All-American by United Soccer Coaches.

She is the 21st individual from the Wheaton women's soccer program to earn All-America recognition. Tomich scored a pair of goals this season, including a game-winning goal. She led a Wheaton defense that allowed 17 goals in 24 matches this season for a 0.70 goals against average. She was an integral part of a Thunder defense that recorded 11 shutouts in the 2018 campaign.

The Thunder defender was recently honored as the first CCIW Defensive Player of the Year award, in the first season that the conference has handed out a defensive player of the year award. She also picked up First Team All-CCIW honors in 2018.
