Wheaton's Audrey Gerze is named the CCIW Player of the Week on offense

Outside hitter Audrey Gerze was named this week's College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Offensive Player of the Week in volleyball by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. The sophomore helped lead Wheaton to a 2-1 record last week as the Thunder earned victories against Lake Forest College and Albion College.

Gerze averaged 3.67 kills per game in Wheaton's three matches last week. She had a team-high 16 kills, with a .303 (16-6-33) attack percentage last Wednesday in a 3-1 Thunder victory at Lake Forest.. On Friday, she led the Thunder to a 3-0 victory against Albion with a team-high 15 kills and a .286 (15-5--35) attack percentage. Additionally, she two service aces and 11 digs in the win against the Britons. In Wheaton's final match last week, she had 13 kills and 21 digs against Dubuque.

Gerze is averaging 2.0 kills per game this season for the Thunder.
