White receives two scholarships from ECU's Department of Education

Kathyren White, right of Wetumka, received both the Tara Millsap Student Teaching Scholarship and the Daniel Minnich Memorial Student Scholarship during the East Central University Department of Education's 2019 Spring Awards Luncheon. Pictured with White is Dr. Phyllis Isaacs, associate professor of education. The Tara Millsap Scholarship is awarded to an education student during his/her semester of student teaching. Millsap is an ECU graduate and teaches in Sulphur. The Daniel Minnich Scholarship is awarded to an education student during his/her semester of student teaching. Minnich was an ECU student who died during his student teaching semester. This scholarship was established by his family and friends in his memory. Yearly funding is provided by a golf tournament in Minnich's name.
