Wilkes-Barre's Dr. Sherry Brown Presented with Young Alumnus Award at USciences' Alumni Reunion

PHILADELPHIA, PA (10/11/2012)(readMedia)-- Sherry Brown P'97, PharmD'98 was presented with Young Alumnus Award at University of the Sciences' Alumni Reunion on Sept. 29, 2012. The award is presented to an individual who is less than 40 years old, graduated from USciences within the last 15 years, and who has contributed in an outstanding fashion to the profession, to science, and/or mankind.

Dr. Brown is co-founder of RxPrep, which offers a comprehensive suite of educational tools to pharmacy students preparing for their licensure examinations. RxPrep currently educates over 10,000 pharmacy students annually. Along with her work at RxPrep, Dr. Brown serves as a voluntary clinical professor at University of California, San Diego.

Following her graduation from USciences, Dr. Brown completed a pharmacy practice residency at Duke University Medical Center and a critical care pharmacy residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. In addition, she earned her healthcare executive MBA degree from University of California Irvine.

Dr. Brown originally hails from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
