Wilkes University's Women Empowered by Science Camp Invites Public to Wildlife Programs on July 27

WILKES-BARRE, PA (07/24/2018) Wilkes University's annual Women Empowered by Science Camp invites the community to join in on the exciting world of science on Friday, July 27.

Two free programs are open to the public:

Close Encounters with Birds of Prey: Friday, July 27 at 12:45 p.m. in Stark Learning Center, Room 101

The Delaware Valley Raptor Center will introduce participants to the world of raptors including owls, kestrels, falcons, hawks and eagles. The center will have five live raptor birds at the demonstration.

Second Chance Wildlife Center: Friday, July 27 at 12:45 p.m. at Breiseth Hall, Room 106

Angie Colarusso of Second Chance Wildlife Center, a non-profit rescue for wild animals, will speak about the lives and behaviors of a variety of mammals. Colarusso will bring wild life that have been orphaned and/or injured in the wild and rescued by her organization to her presentation.
