Will Wiseman Receives Military Leadership/National Security Studies Certificate

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA (04/12/2011)(readMedia)-- Hampden-Sydney College senior William McLauchlin Wiseman (center) recently received the Military Leadership/National Security Studies Program Certificate from Lt. Col. Rucker Snead, Assistant Director of the ML/NSS Program (left) and Dr. Christopher B. Howard, President of Hampden-Sydney College (right). Hampden-Sydney's Wilson Center for Leadership in the Public Interest initiated the program in the Spring of 2005 for students interested in the historical, political, cultural, ethical, and legal dimensions of national security policy as well as the place and role of the military in American society.
A Patrick Henry Scholar, Will is a pitcher on the varsity baseball team and was selected for the ODAC academic all-conference team in baseball all four years. He is a member of the Boardriders Club, the Fencing Club, the Tiger Athletic Club, and the honor societies Phi Beta Kappa (academics) and Pi Sigma Alpha (political science). Will plans to enter law school next fall. A government major, Will graduated from George Washington High School and is the son of Frank & Paige Wiseman of Danville.
