Woodinville resident Christopher Somogyi elected vice president of the class of 2011 at Connecticut College

NEW LONDON, CT (05/13/2010)(readMedia)-- Christopher W. Somogyi, a junior at Connecticut College, has been elected vice president of the senior class for the 2010-2011 academic year.

As vice president, Somogyi is responsible for helping the president coordinate social functions for the class, represent the class to administrators and faculty and provide class representation on committees and at campus events.

Somogyi, a 2007 graduate of Lakeside School, is the son of Aniko and Chris Somogyi of Woodinville.

The Connecticut College Student Government Association considers issues and formulates policies in areas primarily or exclusively involving the student body at Connecticut College and seeks to extend channels of communication, increase areas of cooperation and foster a greater acceptance of shared responsibility between faculty, administration and students.
