Wright Wins Student Life Award at Western New England University

SPRINGFIELD, MA (05/09/2012)(readMedia)-- LaShawna Wright of Meriden, CT, has received the Richard M. DiRuzza Student Life Award at Western New England University. Wright is a senior graduating with a degree in Psychology. Western New England honored the winners of the 2012 Cocurricular Awards at a ceremony on April 28.

The Richard M. DiRuzza Student Life Award is given in recognition of volunteer service to the University and to a student who has had a direct impact on improving the quality of student life. The award is named in honor of former Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students Richard M. DiRuzza, who devoted 18 years of service to Western New England. The naming recognizes DiRuzza's support of underclassmen by helping them to become more engaged and involved in the University.
