YSU Awards First-Year Student Scholarships

Youngstown State University has recognized 249 first-year students with Martin Luther King Merit Awards and/or Trailblazer Scholarships.

The MLK Merit Award is a $1,000 merit-based award for new graduates of local inner-city high schools, and the Trailblazer Scholarship is a $2,000 scholarship for freshmen that aims to encourage outstanding students from diverse backgrounds.
