York College of PA student earns funding for business from Weinstock Student Venture Investment Fund
Kaitlin Dannenberg of Mechanicsburg, a sophomore environmental horticulture major at York College, is the most recent recipient of funding from the College's Weinstock Student Venture Investment Fund. Dannenberg's company, KRAM, is developing innovative new systems for home hydroponics that allow individuals to legally grow medical marijuana, in their own home, at a significant savings compared to other sources.
The Weinstock Student Venture Investment Fund, a program of York College's J.D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship, is specifically designed to help York College students take their business from idea to implementation through funding, education, mentorship, and strategic networking opportunities. Norm Weinstock, 1958 York College graduate and founder of the Weinstock Student Venture Investment Fund, believes Dannenberg has expertise and drive to make her business a success.
