"You Can't Cover This Up": A Story of Perseverance in the Face of Abuse
Feb. 13
ROCHESTER, NY (02/13/2018) When she was just 17 years old, Kimberly Hill was in a devastating, life-threatening car accident that pushed her to confront her abuse. She will share her story with Nazareth College students to raise awareness of the warning signs of emotional, physical, and sexual relationship abuse. It takes place in the Forum of the Shults Center on February 13, at 6 p.m. It is free and also open to the public. Nazareth College is located at 4245 East Avenue, Rochester, N.Y., 14618. For more information contact the Title IX Office at kvicks8@naz.edu.
Hill will share the many lessons learned the hard way, describing the road to recovery, from physical and mental, to the recovery from post-accident substance abuse. The core of her talk holds the message that you are not alone. Abuse does not discriminate, and those struggling victims most likely need your help but are too afraid to ask or admit that they need it.
The event is sponsored by Nazareth College's Title IX Office and the Women and Gender Studies Club.
