Zachary Fox Receives Final Convocation Award at Hampden-Sydney College

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA (05/10/2013)(readMedia)-- At Final Convocation on April 25, Hampden-Sydney College senior Zachary Ryan Fox received the CAMWS Award (Classical Association of the Middle West and South), presented by Dr. Daniella Widdows, Assistant Professor of Classics, and Dr. Janice F. Siegel, Associate Professor of Classics. This award is given for outstanding accomplishment in classical studies.

A Patrick Henry Scholar, Zachary is a member of the Future Educators Club, the Classics Club, the Baptist Collegiate Ministry, the Outsiders Club, and the honor society Eta Sigma Phi (classics). A Greek and Latin major, Zachary graduated from Parry McCluer High School and is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Tony Fox of Buena Vista.

A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked in the top tier of liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the education of young men.
