Zeena Garnett Honored as Central Penn College's Student of the Month

Zeena Garnett '11, of Philadelphia, is a corporate communications student at Central Penn College and the college's August 2011 Student of the Month.

SUMMERDALE, PA (08/02/2011)(readMedia)-- Quiet and humble, yet smart and driven-to-succeed, corporate communications student and soon-to-be graduate Zeena Garnett '11, of Philadelphia, has been honored as Central Penn College's August 2011 Student of the Month.

"I was very happy when I found out that I was Student of the Month," says Garnett. "It lets me know that my hard work doesn't go unnoticed."

Arriving in the fall of 2008, Garnett worked as a work study in student services, and the records and registration office. Garnett has also been active in the Public Relations Club, serving as PR club president this past year. In her spare time, she enjoys writing poetry and stories.

Garnett is bound and determined to succeed once she enters the working world.

"My mother has supported me in everything that I do," says Garnett. "By succeeding, not only will I be proud of myself, but she will be proud of me as well."

Currently finishing up her last term at Central Penn, Garnett is motivated and decisive about her future.

"In the future, I plan to have a stable job in my profession and continue on with furthering my education," she says.

Garnett is currently completing her internship at Greater Philadelphia Cares.
