Automotive Career Forum For Veterans To Be Held October 16

Event will be held at Center for Automotive Education & Training in Whitestone

ALBANY, NY (10/16/2007; 0924)(readMedia)-- An automotive career forum for veterans will be held on October 16, 2007 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Center for Automotive Education & Training located at 15-30 Petracca Place in Whitestone, New York. “The forum will provide valuable assistance to veterans who are interested in careers in the automotive industry,” said State Labor Commissioner M. Patricia Smith. “In one location, they will be able to explore the many types of occupations available to them.”

Sponsored by the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association (GNYADA) and the Lincoln Technical Institute, the forum will provide information to veterans seeking careers in automotive sales, administration, management, service, parts and other occupations that are in demand by area dealerships. Attendees will also have an opportunity to learn about future automotive technologies and meet dealers that are hiring. Representatives from GNYADA and the Lincoln Technical Institute will be present to explain training and certification processes, provide on-site presentations and answer questions.
