CHAMPIONS NAMED IN 2008 FEEDER CALF SHOW AT 2008 IOWA STATE FAIR

DES MOINES, IA (08/22/2008; 1722)(readMedia)-- Wayne & Barb Ohlric of Norfolk, Neb. exhibited the Supreme Champion Breeding Heifer in the Feeder Calf Show August 9 at the 2008 Iowa State Fair. The February heifer had earlier been named Champion Maine-Tainer Heifer.

Nogel Family Shorthorns, Hartley, took Reserve Champion Breeding Heifer honors with their March Shorthorn Plus heifer.

Supreme Champion Market Animal went to JB Ranch/Lowery Cattle, Pella, with their 486-pound Champion Market Heifer. Reserve Champion honors were awarded to Hellbusch Cattle Co., Creston, Neb., with their 448-pound Champion Crossbred Steer.
