Campbellsville University Hosts Kentucky Baptist Secretaries Association

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY (08/07/2008; 1644)(readMedia)-- Campbellsville University hosted the 22nd Annual Kentucky Baptist Secretaries Conference July 23-25 on campus.

Approximately 40 secretaries from throughout the state attended the conference, according to Debbie Graves, president of the group.

The KBSA helps women who work in churches, institutions and agencies in improving their service to Kentucky churches, congregations and ultimately – to God, Grace Bristow said.

KBSA’s purpose is to provide fellowship and encouragement; foster individual growth and professional excellence, and to provide continuing training opportunities and spiritual enrichment for its members.

The conference held two tracks with the first one covering a Bible Study Class with Ken Holden, director of The Marshall Center for Christian Ministry at Georgetown College; Web site Class, featuring Hermano Queiroz, director of the CU Office of Information Technology, and his daughter, Barbara; Women’s Health Issues led by Dr. Susan Burress of Campbellsville; Copyright Class with discussion led by Roxanne Nanney, preschool/children’s consultant with the Worship/Music Department of the Kentucky Baptist Convention; and a Smile Conference led by Steve Bristow, a ?? graduate of Campbellsville University, who has seven children.

The second track focused on Basic Business English, which was a Continuing Education Skillshop.

Special entertainment at the banquet was Kenna Turner West, 2005 song writer of the Year, Gospel Music Hall of Fame member, international singer and speaker and Dove Award nominee. Her ministry of music has spanned two decades.
