Best-Selling Author to Come to SUNY Plattsburgh
PLATTSBURGH, NY (03/24/2008; 1642)(readMedia)-- Best-selling author, Mark Kurlansky will speak in the Krinovitz Auditorium in SUNY Plattsburgh’s Hawkins Hall at 7:30 p.m. on March 28 and not on March 29 as previously reported.
Kurlansky, a New York Times bestselling author, will lecture on his book, “Nonviolence: 25 Lessons from the History of a Dangerous Idea,” copies of which will be available at the College Bookstore.
Kurlansky is author of such books as “Cod: A Biography of the Fish That Changed the World”; “Salt: A World History”; “1968: The Year That Rocked the World”; “The Basque History of the World”; and “The Big Oyster: History on the Half Shell”; as well as the novel “Boogaloo on 2nd Avenue.”
The lecture is free, open to all and co-sponsored by the Plattsburgh Protestant Campus Ministry and the John Brown Lives! organization.
