Who: All June 2008 High School Graduates from Genesee, Livingston, Orleans, and Wyoming (GLOW) Counties
High school students wishing to take advantage of Genesee Community College’s Promise Plus program have just two weeks left to apply. This special program is designed specifically for June 2008 high school students who are graduating from a high school located in Genesee, Livingston, Orleans, or Wyoming counties. Under Genesee Promise Plus, all GLOW area June 2008 high school graduates will receive a scholarship covering the cost of tuition for one or two summer 2008 courses at any of Genesee Community College’s seven campus locations in Albion, Arcade, Batavia, Dansville, Lakeville, Medina, and Warsaw.
“This is one of the best gifts a June 2008 high school graduate can get,” said Rick Ensman, Director of Development and External Affairs. “Whether students have already applied and been accepted to Genesee or another college, whether they are undecided about their future plans, or even if they have no immediate plans to attend college, every student should take advantage of this opportunity to participate in one or two college-level courses absolutely free of charge.”
The application deadline for Genesee Promise Plus is June 15, 2008. For more information, to download an application, or to check out Genesee’s Summer 2008 courses at all seven campus locations, visit www.genesee.edu/promise. The summer session runs from June 30-August 1, 2008 with more than 80 different courses available.
