ALBANY, NY (07/31/2008; 1155)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that diesel fuel services at Seneca Travel Plaza, located westbound between Interchanges 44 (Canandaigua) and 45 (Rochester I-490), at milepost 350, are temporarily unavailable to motorists at this time. Restaurant, restroom and other fuel services remain available.
Westbound motorists in need of diesel fuel services are advised to stop at Junius Ponds Travel Plaza, located approximately 26 miles prior to Seneca Travel Plaza, between Interchanges 41 (Waterloo) and 42 (Geneva), at milepost 324, or at the Ontario Travel Plaza, located approximately 26 miles beyond Seneca Travel Plaza, between Interchanges 46 (Rochester) and 47 (Leroy), at milepost 376.
The Authority has activated its Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) to inform westbound motorists that diesel fuel services at Seneca Travel Plaza have been temporarily suspended. It is possible that the Seneca Travel Plaza will not have diesel fuel services for up to two days.
