ALBANY, NY (09/19/2007; 1310)(readMedia)-- Families Together in New York State is happy to announce that Crystal L. Brandow has accepted the position of outreach and development coordinator with the organization.
Crystal will be responsible for organizational development, marketing and overseeing the listserv and website.
Prior to joining Families Together, Crystal worked for Sawchuk, Brown Associates, Citizen Action of New York and the Alliance for Quality Education performing public relations, social marketing, systems advocacy, and public outreach. She has also maintained employment with Albany Memorial Hospital; and worked with Samaritan Hospital’s four mental health units.
Crystal graduated cum laude with her Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric and Communication, and a minor in Africana Studies from the University at Albany, SUNY. She also studied at the University of Ghana-Accra-Legon in West Africa.
While attending the University at Albany, Crystal acted as the public relations specialist for a student run consulting firm; and she served as a teaching assistant for an interpersonal and organizational communication course.
Crystal is a member of the Association for Fundraising Professionals; and she plans to pursue her Master of Arts in Communication.
