Fathers and Family the Subject of Kids’ Art Contest

Winning Entries to be Featured in Calendar

ALBANY, NY (05/14/2008; 1129)(readMedia)-- The State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) and Parent Help are sponsoring an art/photo contest highlighting the important roles fathers and family play in children’s lives.

Winning entries will be featured in a “Family Calendar” that will be distributed throughout New York State. A $200 gift card will also be awarded to a grand prize winner, a $100 gift card will be awarded for second place and a $50 gift card will be awarded for third place. All entrants will receive a small gift of appreciation.

The contest is open to students in grades K-12. Entrants should create an original work of art, or photograph, representing one of two themes – “When Dad’s in the Game, Kids Win,” or, “Families That Play Together, Stay Together.” The deadline for submissions is June 23.
