Fuel Services Temporarily Suspended At Ontario Travel Plaza

Restaurants and Rest Room Services Remain Available

ALBANY, NY (09/13/2007; 1404)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that the fuel services at the Ontario Travel Plaza, located westbound between Interchanges 46 (Henrietta) and 47 (LeRoy), will be temporarily suspended beginning Monday, September 17 until Friday, September 28, 2007, due to a canopy refurbishment project, which includes the installation of new canopy lighting and a fire suppression system.

Throughout the project, the restaurants and restroom services at the Ontario Travel Plaza will remain available.

During the temporary closure, westbound motorists in need of fuel are advised to stop at either the Seneca Travel Plaza located approximately 26 miles east of the Ontario Travel Plaza, or at the Clarence Travel Plaza located approximately 36 miles west of the Ontario Travel Plaza.

Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) will be activated and Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) will be posted prior to the Ontario Travel Plaza informing motorists that fuel services have been temporarily suspended at these facilities.

The Authority appreciates motorists’ patience during this time.
