Regulations Must Include Strong Provisions to Help Clean New York's Dirty Air
ALBANY, NY (11/24/2008; 1143)(readMedia)-- -
WHAT: A coalition of environmental, public health and business groups from across New York State offer recommendations on proposed regulations implementing the New York State Diesel Emission Reduction Act of 2006. Public hearings on the regulations are taking place from Nov. 24-26.
Speakers will discuss the harmful impact of diesel emissions, the potentially disastrous health effects of ozone and particle pollution for New Yorkers, and the increased economic opportunity for companies in New York that manufacture diesel emission reduction technology.
Questions will be answered at the conclusion of the call.
