Inflatable Theater Returning to Chadron State

The show is expected to be a hit for both young and old.

CHADRON, NE (11/03/2008; 1651)(readMedia)-- The next scheduled act of Chadron State College's Galaxy Series is expected to be popular among audiences of all ages.

The Fred Garbo Inflatable Theater Co. will appear in the Memorial Hall Auditorium on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 7:30 p.m. The company also plans a special performance in Memorial Hall for area public schools at 1 p.m.

With an arsenal of inflatable props, pneumatic wizard Fred Garbo and Brazilian ballerina Daielma Santos present a show of physical comedy, dance and juggling. Publicity materials say that the show is a performance of artistic imagery that transcends barriers of age and language.

The Maine duo has appeared on international television and on "The Late Show with David Letterman." Its performance highlights include the Kennedy Center at Washington, D.C., two sold-out runs at the New Victory Theater on Broadway, Playhouse Square in Cleveland, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and the Hong Kong International Arts Carnival.

Organizers expect the audience to enjoy Garbo and Co. like it did in February 2002 -- the last time the show appeared in Chadron.

Tickets for the main performance may be reserved by contacting the CSC box office at 308-432-6360 or boxoffice@csc.edu.
