Interchange 31 (Utica) Commuter Lot To Close For Repaving

ALBANY, NY (07/19/2007; 1640)(readMedia)-- The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that the commuter lot at Interchange 31 (Utica) will close for 36 hours beginning Monday morning, July 23 for a repaving and restriping project.

Authority forces will close the lot at 5 a.m. Monday, July 23, and reopen it at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, after the work has been completed.

The tandem lot located across from the commuter lot is closed to cars at all times. All vehicles found in the lot will be towed at the owner's expense. The Authority is directing motorists' to use the New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) park and ride lot located on Harbor Lock Road off Genesee Street. White and green park and ride signs are in place to direct motorists' to the lot.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience and understanding while this essential repair project takes place.
